Critical Reception
Bollywood Hungama analyst presented 3 out of 5 stars and composed “Yodha is not the usual hijack movie and features a fine action; however, it is fairly technical and confusing.”
NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee rated the movie 1.5/5 and noted “No matter how lenient you might like to be and how much of a Sidharth Malhotra lover you are, this pulpy action film is a rough ride that slips from one misstep to another.”
Sukanya Verma of Rediff.com delivered 2.5/5 stars and monitored “A light-footed Sidharth single-handedly going at the villains is a slick sight. Armed in swag, sunglasses, and slow motion, the man is more than suitable for employment. And it’s on his charm and rugged shoulders that Yodha shamelessly rests”.
Anupama Chopra, in her study for movie Companion, declared that “Yodha is a cheesy, chest-thumping, low-on-logic thriller that swings brazenly to a crowd-pleasing finale, mainly on the shoulders of a solid Sidharth Malhotra.”
Rishil Jogani of Pinkvilla ranked the movie 2.5/5 and opined that “Yodha has redeemable grades and delivers thrills too but the movie in full is a tiresome see, full of clichés, cheesy conversations and overused tropes.”
