Tiger 3 is an Indian Hindi-language action thriller film released in 2023 that celebrates the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. This movie includes stars like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, it is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films.
A sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), the movie is set after the occasions of War (2019) and Pathaan (2023). In it, Tiger and Zoya set out to prevent a rogue ISI agent who utilized them to stage a coup against the Pakistani government.
The principal photography started in the date of March 2021 with filming happening in Delhi, Mumbai, Istanbul, Saint Petersburg, and Vienna. The film’s soundtrack is made by Pritam while the background score is written by Tanuj Tiku. Critical Reception
On the review aggregator blog Rotten Tomatoes, 57% of 21 critics’ reviews are favorable, with an average rating of 6.0 out of 10.
Tiger 3 acquired mixed-to-positive reviews from analysts upon release, with recognition for its action sequences, music, score, technical elements, and cast performances (particularly Khan, Kaif, and Hashmi), but complaints for its story and pace.
Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama rated the movie 4 out of 5 stars and noted “Tiger 3 is the most significant dhamaka you can hope this Diwali” applauded the second half and performances of Khan, Kaif, and Hashmi and enjoyed the cameo of Shahrukh Khan.
Himesh Mankad of Pinkvilla rated the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars and noted “Tiger 3 rides hugely scaled action sequences backed with power acting by Khan, Kaif and Hashmi.
While pacing is a problem in some areas, the core story has sufficient of an emotional connection to hold you glued on the big screen. The movie is an action-packed performer that has all the ingredients to appear as Khan’s highest grosser to date.”
Sonil Dedhia of News18 presented the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars and noted “Tiger 3 has some amazing action sequences featuring Khan and Kaif. Hashmi does fairness to his role as an enemy. There are numerous sweet-worthy points in Tiger 3 like the cameos (which is understood by everyone). Khan lovers are in for a joy this Diwali.”
Vinamra Mathur of Firstpost rated 3.5 out of 5 stars and noted “Khan and Kaif present themselves to the action of Tiger 3 with complete gusto. The movie looks stylish and slick, but slightly overlong. Only if it had more rushes and tension and less talking.”
Ronak Kotecha of The Times of India rated the film 3 out of 5 stars and noted “Tiger 3 readies as a good addition to the franchise with sufficient ammo for mass enjoyment.”
Zinia Bandyopadhyay of India Today rated 3 out of 5 stars and noted “Despite a packed spy universe, Tiger 3 tends to maintain his ground. Khan lovers won’t be unhappy, but someone offers Kaif a Zoya series pronto!”
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV rated the movie 2.5 out of 5 stars and noted: “All the technical razzmatazz would have come to naught without the existence of a celebrity or two who can deliver luster, if only of a simple kind, to the training.”
Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express rated the movie 2.5 out of 5 stars and noted “Khan is examining his age, but the good thing is that he isn’t concealing it. And of course, the most promising part of the movie is when Pathaan a.k.a. Shah Rukh Khan arrives flying into the horizon with his hair still in that sexy man-bun and recording smart one-liners.”
Sukanya Verma of Rediff rated 2.5 out of 5 stars and noted “Too poor the one time it is close to the environment, Tiger decides to observe his Diwali with ‘meetha’ and not ‘pathaaka’.”
Monika Rawal Kukreja of Hindustan Times termed its rate as “inconsistent” and noted “Tiger 3 is dirty, masala and a must-watch not because it’s a masterwork, but because it’s not every day you see two superstars sharing screen space actually if that’s for a short while. Sharma as director packs all the features in a manner that causes for an intriguing watch. While the story and broad plot is fairly intricate and complicated with a new twist and turn to wait to develop every few minutes, what stays disturbing is the inconsistent pace.”
Pratikshya Mishra of The Quint reported “Tiger 3 is one of those movies that didn’t require to have depended on pure action – the love story between Tiger and Zoya is the Tiger franchise’s major attraction.
Rather, Tiger 3 concentrates on a heady mix of a rescuer complex and exposition. Despite new additions to the roster and older, friendly faces replacing to the mix, Tiger 3 just doesn’t have the joy and arrogance needed to complete the story work.
