Super 30 is an Indian Hindi-language biographical drama movie released in 2019 which was produced by Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment, and HRX Films at a funding of ₹60 crore.
This movie is based on the life of mathematics teacher and educator Anand Kumar as well as an educational program of the same title, it is directed by Vikas Bahl and stars Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar.
The movie marked the last production of Phantom Films. It was published in cinemas on the date of 12 July 2019. Roshan’s performance obtained widespread praise. With a worldwide gross of ₹208 crore, the movie appeared as a major commercial hit and one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of 2019.

Anand Kumar, a Math whiz from Bihar, chooses to start a one-of-a-kind IIT entrance training program where money does not control the fates of hopefuls.

Critical Reception
Sreeparna Sengupta of The Times of India rated the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars and glorified Hrithik Roshan, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Srivastava, and the cinematography of Anay Goswami. She sensed that Super 30 fetched the message that though education is the privilege of people with good financial backgrounds, others can shine equally if provided the level field.
Finishing, she noted”While the narrative does have its drawbacks, Super 30 is a human drama and the story of a teacher who wins over the numerous challenges that life throws at him, to put an instance for the world to see. Just for that, it’s valuable to watch.”
Composing for NDTV Saibal Chatterjee, rated it with 2 stars out of 5 and supposed that the erratic screenplay of Super 30 had ‘skimmed the surface of a huge mound of tangled issues’ and that Hrithik Roshan was miscast as Anand Kumar.
He opined that the significant problem with the movie was conveying a true story, which was not effective. He ended the review “The view to bronze up Hrithik Roshan so that he can imitate Anand Kumar is anything but super: it is a formula that equals zero.”
Samrudhi Ghosh of India Today gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars but applauded the performances of Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Srivastava. Ghosh handled the movie as lengthy and had produced the dramatics without need, stating”Under the advice of math wizard Anand Kumar, his Super 30 turned out to be blessings. Under the direction of Vikas Bahl, Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 is far from one.”
Priyanka Sinha Jha of News18, colliding with Ghosh hails Roshan and an ensemble of Pankaj Tripathi, Virendra Saxena, Nandish Sandhu, and Aditya Srivastav for their acting. She senses that Roshan has delivered an honorable acting.
Agreeing with Sengupta she opines that education is a tool to a more satisfactory life, but is a right in itself, and that is what the movie questions and challenges. She gave the movie 3 out of 5 stars, and concludes, “After all, as the well-known saying goes—“Not all superheroes wear capes.” Super 30 is the story of one such..”
Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express rated 2 out of 5 stars and termed the movie ‘way less than super’, she opined that if taken correctly, it would have been a ‘rousing, goosebumps-inducing, cheer-athon.’
She summarised by saying, “Yes, the real-life story is inspiring. But the telling of it is a drag. The movie has its points, which belong primarily to its young people: the kids are all good.”
Super 30 Hindi Movie 2019 Songs Collection
Ajay Atul wrote the songs for the movie and the lyrics were composed by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Vipin Nair of The Hindu rated the soundtrack 3.5/5, anointing it a “pretty engaging soundtrack”. The Times of India-based Debarati Sen, in her review, said the composers “do not fail to impress”.
