Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout is an Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller movie released in 2024 which was directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai, and Parul Gulati (in her Hindi movie debut) in lead roles. It is the series of Silence…Can You Hear It? (2021).

ACP Avinash Verma and his team are allotted a case of a mass shootout that occurred at a club named Night Owl Bar in Mumbai. As the crew works on the case they discover there is something much greater and darker at play.

Critical Reception
Composing for NDTV, Saibal Chatterjee applauded Manoj Bajpayee’s work noting, “Able to sustain itself through its addition of twists and turns thanks to the solidity that Manoj Bajpayee loans the movie.”
Bollywood Hungama critic gave 2.5 out of 5 stars and noted”Despite being a fascinating murder secret Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout sorrows due to the long length and specific loose ends.”
Mayur Sanap of Rediff.com gave the movie 1/5 stars and watched”Towards the end of the movie, when one character exclaims, ‘What a crazy case!’ your emotions feel validated.”
The Times of India gave the movie 33/5 stars and noted that “Overall, in an otherwise average thriller, it is Manoj Bapayee who powers through his solid, secure act”. A critic from News18 rated the movie the same rating and noted that “Silence 2 need a watch if you like murder mysteries. And as always, Manoj Bajpayee is at his most pleasing acting. It’s worth a watch despite the imperfections”.
A critic from TimesNow gave the movie the same rating and noted that “there was real potential and promise in Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout to make something impressive. But the red herrings develop tiresome and the final reveal, in which the antagonist displays all their senses, drags the story and the movie by a good 20 minutes or so”.
A critic from Pinkvilla gave the movie 2/5 stars and noted that “Silence 2 is a lengthy and tiring watch that just fails to attach. The performances even fail to reach the level of a no-nonsense investigative thriller”.
A critic from Outlook gave the movie 1.5/5 stars and noted “The only good part about Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout is the camera work. The camera work is smooth, and it holds your attention in this poorly composed whodunit”.
In a review for India Today, Zinia Bandyopadhyay noted that in particular because of its dialogues, the movie “fails to impress as a crime thriller despite its possibility”.
Arjun Agarwal, of Medium, commented, “The movie has some twists and turns your way, some predictable, some genuinely incredible. There’s a sense of wanting to be always surprised, but a few displays lack the punch needed to exit you gasping.”
