Patna Shukla Movie 2024 Plot
The speculation covers Tanvi Shukla (Raveena), a lawyer in Patna’s lower court, who is living her childhood dream of evolving as a lawyer.
Back home, she is a caring wife to her spouse Siddharth (Manav Vij) – who operates in the water board as a senior engineer – and a doting mommy to their school-going son, Sonu.

Critical Reception
It acquired mixed-to-positive reviews, with acclaim for the performances, and plot and criticism for its derivative nature.
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV noted “The title isn’t the only thing that is confusing about this movie. The selection of Bhopal as filming place for a story set in Patna is weird, to say the least.”
Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express noted “A climactic nonsense mars it, but Patna Shuklla is still one of those you can watch just because you like to witness good women win.”
Monika Rawal Kukreja for Hindustan Times reported “At two hours 13 minutes, the movie seems a tad stretched in the second half and could have run for a crisper editing, particularly in the scenes outside the court.”
Ronak Kotecha of The Times of India gave the film 3.5 stars out of 5 and wrote “Despite a sluggish pace, Raveena’s flawless act holds the viewer curiosity alive. Manav Vij is well-suited to act Siddharth, a man who has to hit a balance between his wife’s determined stand for what’s good and what is most likely in a small town.”
Sana Farzeen for India Today rated 2.5 stars out 5 and stated “Bankrolled by Arbaaz Khan, the movie provides Raveena Tandon an excellent platform to work, something that the actor rightfully earns.” Rohit Bhatnagar of The Free Press Journal honored Raveena Tandon’s performance and said”Raveena Tandon is the lifeline of Patna Shuklla. She rides the whole movie on her shoulders fairly well.”
Pushpangi Raina of Outlook India noted, “The film doesn’t have shortcuts; however, there are a few seconds of black screens here and there, but those can be smoothly overlooked.”
Gautaman Bhaskaran of News18 deemed the movie ” resembles Jolly LLB”. He further noted, “The film itself has multiple elements that run parallel to Jolly LLB. Judge Jha (late Satish Kaushik) in Patna Shuklla peeks very identical to Judge Tripathi (Saurabh Shukla).”
Shreyas Pande of Cinema Express even discovered the film equal to the Jolly LLB movie and commented “The judges in Patna Shukla and Jolly LLB are nearly similar, and the back-and-forth between the lawyers and judges in both movies are identical.”
Likewise, others, a Bollywood Hungama reviewer even said “The comical side of the judge immediately reminds one of the Jolly LLB series. It even peeks forced. Some of the ideas put by Tanvi seemed weak and it didn’t look convincing.”
Pratikshya Mishra of The Quint mentioned, “The flaws in Patna Shuklla are evident but the film has enough going for it to merit a watch.”
Rishil Jogani of Pinkvilla wrote, “Patna Shuklla is a well-made legal drama with a very interesting twist in the last 20-odd minutes of the film.”
Patna Shukla Movie 2024 Songs Collection
The original score and songs for the movie were written by A. R. Rahman in his third movie in Malayalam after Yoddha (1992) and Malayankunju (2022).
The soundtrack includes four songs and an instrumental track with lyrics by Rafeeq Ahamed, Vijay Yesudas, Chinmayi Sripaada, Rakshita Suresh, Sana Moussa, Raja Hasan, Murtuza and Faiz Mustafa the musicians.
A grand audio takeoff function of the movie was held on the date of 10 March 2024 at the Adlux International Convention Centre in Angamaly, with the film’s cast and crew members along with well-known celebrities in attendance.
However, except for the promotional video song “Hope” which was published on social media platforms on the same day, the soundtrack was published a week later.
