OMG 2 is an Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama movie released in 2023 about sex education in India, composed and directed by Amit Rai. It is a spiritual sequel to OMG – Oh My God! (2012). This movie includes star like Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi.
The movie was theatrically published on the date of 11 August 2023 to positive reviews from critics. It has made more than ₹221 crore (US$26 million) worldwide, appearing as one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of 2023.
At the 69th Filmfare Awards, the movie acquired nine nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Critics) (Tripathi) and Best Supporting Actress (Gautam), and succeeded the award for Best Story.

Critical Reception
On the review aggregator blog Rotten Tomatoes, 77% of 12 critics’ reviews are positive, with an average ranking of 6.4 stars out of 10 stars.
A critic for Bollywood Hungama gave the movie 4 stars out of 5 stars and mentioned “On the entire OMG 2 is a bold, strong, progressive, and sensitively handled movie with strong performances as its USP.”
Renuka Vyavahare of The Times Of India gave the movie 4 stars out of 5 stars and mentioned “OMG 2 shows you how a movie can be amusing, socially relevant, and informative. You don’t need to leave your brain behind to keep a good laugh. Take your family along to see this fascinating blend of social commentary and humor.”
Tushar Joshi of India Today gave the movie 4 stars out of 5 stars and noted “Generally, ‘OMG 2’ is a movie that has the right mix of everything. In short, it follows in being an entertainer with a valid message. Akshay Kumar’s lovers will be in for a massive treat where the actor produces one of his career-best work.”
Ganesh Aaglave of Firstpost gave the movie 4 stars out of 5 stars and noted “OMG 2 is a movie, which should be viewed by the viewers of all the age groups as it has a social message, which is the deficiency of the hour across the nation.”
Dishya Sharma of News18 gave the movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars and reported “OMG 2 is unlike OMG: Oh My God. The first part had slightly more comedy and a breezy approach. However, OMG 2 is serious about dialogue and deep. Although it could touch preachy, it deserves a look.”
Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave the movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars and noted “A mainstream Hindi movie taking up cudgels on behalf of the supporters of catching ‘em young? Talking straight and true? Citing the wonders of the Kamasutra? Opening up syllabuses to contain sex education? Yes, yes, and yes. Omg.”
In a negative review, Rahul Desai of Film Companion reported “When the movie belatedly wakes up to its ultranationalism, it tosses in a few quick nods to the connection between sexual repression and abuse. Most of them reek of tokenism.”
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV reported, “To sum up, OMG 2 desires to be as sharp as a scalpel but is as sharp as the back of a knife.”
