The film Main Atal Hoon is a biographical drama that pursues the life and political career of India’s special leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was not just a politician but even a poet, a gentleman, and a statesman.
The film emphasizes Vajpayee’s role in leading India during some of its most difficult moments, including the Kargil War with Pakistan and the Pokhran nuclear tests. It even examines the man behind the politician, showing his works and relationships with family and friends, as well as his love for poems and literature.

A reviewer from Bollywood Hungama granted the movie 2 out of 5 stars and noted “Main Atal Hoon rests on Pankaj Tripathi’s excellent performance. But it mourns big time due to its poor and confusing narrative.”
Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave 2 out of 5 stars and noted “Despite Pankaj Tripathi’s inspired image, the movie is limited to a rah-rah hagiography of retired PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and fails to do justice to his numerous facets.”
NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee gave the movie 2/5 and wrote “In a purely cinematic sense, it is unbelievable to be enthused over what Main Atal Hoon has to deliver. But in the context of the movie’s undisguised raison d’etre, it may not be a complete washout.”
