Dasara is an Indian Telugu-language period action drama movie released in 2023, directed by Srikanth Odela, and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri. This movie includes actors and an ensemble cast of Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, P. Sai Kumar, and Shamna Kasim.
The movie marks the directorial debut of Odela and Chacko’s acting debut in Telugu cinema. Santhosh Narayanan penned the soundtrack and background score, while Sathyan Sooryan and Naveen Nooli penned the cinematography and editing.
The movie was declared in October 2021. This movie’s principal photography began in March 2022 and finished in January 2023. The film is set in the backdrop of Singareni Coal Mines at Veerlapalli village near the Godavarikhani and Ramagundam cities of Telangana.
Dasara was published on the date of 30 March 2023 to positive reviews from analysts and appeared as a commercial hit at the box office, grossing more than ₹117.50 crore worldwide.

Chirag Sehgal of News18 rated the movie 4 stars out of 5 stars and noted”Nani’s swag is unstoppable, but the never-seen-before climax sequence will provide you goosebumps and is a full package. Besides Nani’s killer expressions and top-notch action sequences, it is a visual treat too. The makers make magic on screen with this never-seen-before ending and it is worth all the delay.”
123Telugu rated the movie 3.25 stars out of 5 stars and noted”Dasara is a gritty action drama that has Nani’s great work. He shouldered the movie all the way. Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, and Shine Tom Chacko even completed well. The movie is especially good technically. Barring a few laggy portions in the second half, the movie is an excellent option to appreciate the weekend.”
Neeshita Nyayapati of The Times of India gave the movie 3 stars out of 5 stars and noted”Dasara is not the movie that exits you with a smile at the end of it all, it even doesn’t reinvent the wheel. Could it have been more reasonable? Sure. But Srikanth Odela and Nani make this gradually burn work. So, credit where credit is due.”
Raghu Bandi of The Indian Express rated the movie 3 stars out of 5 stars and reported: “Nani’s Dasara is a heartfelt try from the makers, but stutters due to the flawed narration. Can be overlooked for the authentic dialect and raw and gritty work from the lead”.
Avad Mohammed of OTTplay rated the movie 3 stars out of 5 stars and reported”Dasara is Srikanth Odela’s debut movie and for a first-time director, he has done an outstanding work. Though his storyline is easy and does not have standout moments, how he places the movie in a unique world and makes rustic characters is the most reasonable part.”

Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu reported “Srikanth Odela makes a confident directorial debut with the Telugu movie ‘Dasara’, analyzing caste politics in a mainstream format, backed by good work from the cast led by Nani and Keerthy Suresh.”
Mukesh Manjunath from Film Companion enjoyed Odela’s direction and world-building but blamed the writing; moreover, he applauded Nani’s performance and Narayanan’s music. Telangana Today reported, “Dasara is another celebration of Telugu commercial cinema, with raw emotions from Srikanth Odela and an outstanding work by Nani”.

Dasara Telugu Movie 2023 Songs Collection
The movie score and soundtrack album of the movie is written by Santhosh Narayanan. The music rights were obtained by Saregama.
The first single titled “Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan” was published on the date of 3 October 2022. The single “Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan” extended to positive reviews from numerous critics mostly applauding the makeover of Nani and Santhosh Narayanan’s unique composition. The second single, “Ori Vaari” was published on the date of 13 February 2023.
The third single titled “Chamkeela Angeelesi” was released on 8 March 2023. The fourth single titled “Oh Ammalaalo Ammalaalo” was published on the date of 24 March 2023. The fifth single titled “Cricket Rap” was published on the date of 10 April 2023.
