Brahmastra Part One Shiva Hindi Movie | Review, Box Office Collection, Songs, Awards & Plot of Brahmastra Part One Shiva

In this article, we will discuss Brahmastra Part One Shiva Hindi Movie.

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is an Indian Hindi-language fantasy action-adventure movie released in 2022 which was composed and directed by Ayan Mukerji, dialogues composed by Hussain Dalal and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, Namit Malhotra and Mukerji (in his debut production) – under Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures and Prime Focus in partnership with Star Studios, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza.

The movie performs as the first installment of a planned trilogy, which is itself designed to be a portion of a cinematic universe titled Āstraverse.

This movie includes stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Kapoor himself, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna while Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone seem in cameo roles. The film’s songs are made by Pritam, and the soundtrack lyrics are composed by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Pulling inspiration from stories in Hindu mythology, the story pursues Shiva, an orphan musician with pyrokinetic abilities who finds that he is an astra, a weapon of immense energy. He tries to control the strongest of the astras, the Brahmāstra, from slipping into the hands of dark powers that convey a past with him.

The movie was first developed by Mukerji in the year 2011, with core elements encouraged by Indian history and stories he listened to in his childhood. Its development was first announced in the date of July 2014 with a scheduled release for the year 2016, but its official announcement came in October 2017 showing that the movie would be titled Brahmāstra and would be a trilogy.

The principal photography of this film runner from February 2018 to March 2022, with filming places like Bulgaria, London, New York City, Edinburgh, Thailand, Manali, Mumbai, and Varanasi. Production and release of the movie were postponed numerous times, first due to production uncertainties and monetary constraints, and thereafter due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva was theatrically published on the date of 9 September 2022. It was the first production published under the Star Studios name following the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney.

The movie obtained mixed reviews with recognition for the work, direction, visual effects, soundtrack, musical score, and action series while criticism was directed toward the dialogue. It evolved as the highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2022 and the fifth highest-grossing Indian movie of 2022.

Two sequels are being designed simultaneously and are slated to be published in December 2026 and December 2027 respectively.

A youthful man on the brink of sinking in love gets his world turned upside down when he realizes he can control fire and a relation to a secret society of guardians.

Rohit Bhatnagar of The Free Press Journal gave the movie 2.5 stars out of 5 stars and said”A so-called critique-proof movie Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva might have a larger-than-life scale, grandeur, and visually spectacular but nothing more to this run-of-the-mill good v/s evil story.” Reporting for Deccan Herald, Vivek M. Reputed movie critic Taran Adarsh gave the movie 2 stars out of 5 stars and noted “Brahmāstra is a king-sized dissatisfaction High on VFX, down on content [second half nosedives]. Brahmāstra could’ve been a game changer, but, also, it is a skipped opportunity. All gloss, no soul.”

Anna M. M. Vetticad of Firstpost gave the movie 2 stars out of 5 stars, discovering its story “weak” and the romance between the leads “unconvincing”. Rayan Sayyed of IGN India even criticized the romance between the film’s leads and noted that “the myth and its computer-generated images are the only reasons to see this movie.”

Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave the movie 1.5 stars out of 5 stars, writing “Despite all those non-stop computer graphics, the extra of the sets, the starry array, the film’s dedication to its matter, we never actually buy into it fully”.

Ishita Bhargav of Financial Express discovered the movie to be cliché and criticized the dialogue, saying that the “grand vision ends up evolving as a movie for youngsters.”
