Big Brother movie is an Indian Malayalam-language action thriller movie released in 2020 written, directed, and co-produced by Siddique (in his final movie before his death). It was jointly made by S Talkies, Shaman International, and Vaishaka Cinema, in connection with Carnival Movie Network.

The movie has actor Mohanlal in the title role, along with an ensemble model of Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sarjano Khalid, Honey Rose, Mirnaa Menon, Chetan Hansraj, Irshad, Gaadha, Siddique, Dinesh Panicker, Tini Tom, Devan and John Vijay in helping cast. Big Brother keeps Arbaaz Khan’s debut impression in Malayalam cinema. The songs and background score for the movie were written by Deepak Dev.

The movie started principal photography in the date of July 2019 and was finished in December. It was recorded vastly in Bangalore, and the left scene in Mysore, Mangalore, Ernakulam, and Coimbatore.

Big Brother was published worldwide on the date of 16 January 2020 obtained mixed reviews from critics and made ₹6 crore (US$750,000) against a production funding of ₹32 crore (US$4.0 million). This film was a massive disaster at the box office and is viewed as one of the worst movies made by Mohanlal.

Big Brother Movie 2020 Plot

Sachidanandan is free from prison, where he gets a letter from his brother, who convinces him that a surprise awaits him. While traveling, he remembers his past.

His father was almost going to remarry and he was excited about having a new mother. He knew that the mother had a son who will be his step-brother called Vishnu.

He attempts to befriend Vishnu, but he rejects him and later on begins accepting him. His stepmother is even proceeding to have a new baby. Once after returning from a party Sachi, sees his stepmother being bothered by her ex-husband and attempts to take away Vishnu.

He kills the man while protecting his brother and mother. He moves to a juvenile house for his mistake, where he befriends Khan, Ghani, and Pareekkar.

One day, he sees Khan and Ghani getting beaten up by a ruthless police, he murders the officer while attempting to protect his friends and hence moves to a central prison as he is an adult. He got the punishment of two life-term verdicts.

In the prison, he finds his night vision. As Sachi leaves the prison, he is well-received by his more youthful brother Manu, who was born after he moved to prison. He was even received by his prison mates Pareekkar, Khan, and Ghani. They request Sachi to unite them to operate with Edwin Moses, who is a weird drug lord.

He alerts them and thinks of having a peaceful life with his family. The surprise awaiting him was that his brother Dr. Vishnu was soon to be his colleague and that the marriage was shifted so that Sachi could see the marriage as Vishnu was adamant.

The marriage happens, and as Vandhana seeks Sachi’s blessings, she remembers that he was the one who protected her from a gang, and in the process of protecting her, a Aruba scratches Sachi’s back. The next day, Vandhana forces Sachi to speak the truth about him. When the police learned that Sachi could see in the dark, he and many other prisoners were sent for commando operations.

They were usually sent unarmed to face armed competitors. Sachi’s prison term was expanded as every time he went for the operation, the report composed was that he utilized to exit from prison. Multiple prisoners never came back. Their bodies were seen in different locations.

A police officer called Vedanandham IPS comes to Sachi and describes that the drug syndicate has returned stronger than ever, and it is managed by a person called Edwin Moses, whose character is unknown to the public. Vedanandham says to Sachi that innocent people are utilized for the drug business without their knowledge. Sachi rejects it, saying that he likes to live happily with his family.

Sachi and his family encounter numerous problems from Edwin Moses and his friend Shetty. Later,  Shetty describes to Sachi that Edwin is doing all this for a drug container worth crores which is in Shetty’s control. Sachi sees his friends are in alliance with Edwin Moses but shows that they had nothing to do with it unless a gangster called Muthan died.

Edwin had been pestering them for the container. It was shown that Sachi had the container. He had robbed it from Muthan before. Edwin’s men hit him and his friends. Sachi and his friends win them. Vedantham comes there and murders Edwin’s men, Khan and Pareekkar, while Ghani survives.

Enraged, Sachi beats Vedhantham after which he calls Edwin Moses from Pareekkar’s phone, where it is shown that Edwin Moses is none other than Vedantham. Angry, Sachi damages the container in front of Vedhantham and murders him. After this, Sachi makes the old car as he comes back to his family.
